About me

I am Phoebe Fae, a multidisciplinary Designer, Expressive Arts Therapist and Art Director living on Salt Spring Island. I’m honoured to introduce Aligned by Design — an embodiment of the culmination of wisdom and experience gained from refining my own creative process & bringing visionary ideas to life.

I acknowledge and thank the Coast Salish peoples, specifically from the W̱SÁNEĆ (Saanich), Quw’utsun (Cowhichan) and Stz’uminus (Chemanius) First Nations territories – past, present, and future – for their stewardship, care, and leadership on these lands that I am privileged to live, grow and create upon. I give thanks to the ancestors, supernatural ones, leaders and matriarchs, creatures big and small for looking after the rich resources and cultural teachings of this beautiful land.

I believe in the magic of intentional creation, where our online presence is more than a digital space—it is the embodiment of our prayers, stories, and a living, breathing home for the Spirit of our Work. I live in reverence for the power of creative rites, clear vision, and conscious creativity.

Who I create for

My passion lies in working with those who dare to dream and seek a harmonious blend of structure, spirit, and storytelling in their online presence. I create for those who are ready to experience the profound impact a website can have as a rite of passage, stepping deeper into one’s sacred service.

My Story

I was blessed to grow up in a world rich with artistry, raised within the magic of folk festivals and surrounded by musicians, performers, and creators.

My childhood was a playground for imagination, where I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of communal artistry—how creation is both an offering and a reflection, feeding something far beyond the artist. From an early age, I understood that creative expression wasn’t just about making something beautiful; it was a way to alchemize experiences, move energy, and weave deeper connections with the world around me.

As I stepped into my own creative path, I encountered the challenges that often arise when vision meets reality. With endless ideas and expansive dreams, I struggled to cultivate the discipline and structure needed to bring them fully to life.

Many times, I walked myself to the edge of creation—on the verge of completion—only to find I lacked the grounded systems and inner tools to carry my work across the threshold into form. I came to realize that creativity isn’t just about inspiration; it requires a container strong enough to hold and sustain the life force moving through it.

Over time, I devoted myself to building these containers—templates that became riverbeds for the creative flow, guiding energy into tangible, lasting expression. This shift was a turning point, allowing me to not only birth my own projects but also develop a capacity-building approach that supported others in stewarding big visions with clarity and sustainability.

When my path led me into website design, I saw the same challenges arise for my clients—the tension between inspiration and execution, between vision and the structures needed to hold it. I realized this work was so much bigger than websites; it was about guiding others through their own creative rites of passage. Now, through Aligned by Design, I offer the templates, support, and strategy needed to help creators bring their gifts to life—fully embodied, fully expressed, and grounded in their purpose.

My unique background as an Expressive Arts Therapist and Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with a BA in Studio Arts and a minor in Theatre from Concordia University, equips me to guide clients not only through the technicalities of website creation but also on a emotional, spiritual, and psychological level.
